Battery Disposal Information

Information on the Disposal of Used Batteries

The following information is intended for end users who use batteries or products containing built-in batteries.

Free Return of Used Batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

As an end user, you are legally required to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal and recycling.

You may return used batteries free of charge to a local collection point or to retailers that sell batteries.

As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back used batteries. However, our take-back obligation is limited to batteries of the type that we currently offer or have previously offered as new batteries in our product range.

You may therefore return such used batteries to us by post with sufficient postage or deliver them free of charge to the following address:

Biologa Danell GmbH
Hauptstraße 27
72336 Balingen
Germany

Meaning of Battery Symbols

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.

This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

Where a battery contains more than:

  • 0.0005% mercury by weight (Hg)
  • 0.002% cadmium by weight (Cd)
  • 0.004% lead by weight (Pb)

the corresponding chemical symbol will appear beneath the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol.

The abbreviations have the following meanings:

  • Cd = Cadmium
  • Pb = Lead
  • Hg = Mercury
